How long should I let my hair get before I get waxed?

You should allow your hair to grow 1/4 of an inch to really allow for the best results.

What is waxing?

The waxing process occurs when hard or soft wax is applied to hair, allowing for removal of the entire hair follicle from the body. Wax is typically warm to help open pores and form around the hair follicle itself. The wax is removed using either a cloth strip, or some waxes harden on their own and can be used with no other tools. The skin is left smooth and soft and pore size will lessen as hair follicles become finer.

What are the benefits of waxing over shaving?

When hair follicles are shaved they return within days to hours. Hair has a blunt edge that results in coarse stubble. Shaving can result in cuts and ongoing skin irritation and has to be performed every day or two to maintain smooth skin.

Waxing allows for weeks of smooth skin, and eventually the hair will become thinner and finer, often resulting in the complete disappearance over time.
